Safety and Conduct Policy

BARD is intended to be a welcoming environment and a safe space to discuss mathematics free from interference. The organizers reserve the right to revoke the registration of any participant who harasses other participants, harasses university staff, or behaves in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.

Anyone experiencing an emergency or facing imminent danger should dial 911. Outside of an emergency situation, if you fear for your safety or are the victim of a crime, you may contact Tulane campus police at 504-865-5911 (emergency number) or 504-865-5381 (non-emergency number) or New Orleans city police at 504-821-2222.

Anyone experiencing power-based violence, including but not limited to sexual assault, sexual harassment, or identity-based discrimination or harassment during the conference, is encouraged to report the problem to any conference organizer and to the Tulane Title IX Office.

The organizers support equality of opportunity and treatment for all participants, without regard to gender, gender identity or expression, race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion or religious belief, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disabilities, or veteran status. We welcome suggestions about how to make BARDs a more welcoming and equitable environment.
