Safety and Conduct Policy

BARD is intended to be a welcoming environment and a safe space to discuss mathematics free from interference. The organizers reserve the right to revoke the registration of any participant who harasses other participants, harasses university staff, or behaves in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.

Anyone experiencing an emergency or facing imminent danger should dial 911. Outside of an emergency situation, if you fear for your safety or are the victim of a crime, you may contact LSU campus police at 225-578-3231 or Baton Rouge city police at 225-389-2000.

Anyone experiencing power-based violence, including but not limited to sexual assault, sexual harassment, or identity-based discrimination or harassment during the conference, is encouraged to report the problem to any conference organizer and to the LSU Office of Civil Rights and Title IX.

The organizers support equality of opportunity and treatment for all participants, without regard to gender, gender identity or expression, race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion or religious belief, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disabilities, or veteran status. We welcome suggestions about how to make BARDs a more welcoming and equitable environment.
