Announcing BARD 7

Digital art of a zydeco band consisting of a pelican playing a triangle, a nutria playing an upright bass, and an alligator playing an accordian, in a swamp setting surrounded by number-theoretic equations. Created by Viv Heurtevant.

BARDs are one-day mini-conferences aimed at bringing together the vibrant community of students and researchers working in number theory in the Gulf Coast region. BARDs take place about two times a year at universities in Louisiana. The goal is to both bring high-profile speakers to the region and provide graduate students and junior faculty within the region with speaking and networking opportunities.

BARD 7 will take place at Tulane University on April 17, 2026. There is also an opportunity to attend the talks remotely on Zoom.

BARD 7 is supported by the National Science Foundation and by Tulane University.
